Unruli

Are you a badass??  Do you want to start a business?  The practical matters are only about 20% of becoming an entrepreneur. The greater 80%? That’s WAY more than just paperwork. Becoming an entrepreneur involves mental and emotional shifts: an interior metamorphosis. For this reason, throughout the process we will focus significant effort on building the emotional and mental resiliency, tools, feedback and support necessary for this journey. Additonally, we will focus on how to obtain funding, establish leadership, create a marketing campaign, utilize legal resources, and navigate the complicated world of governmental forms, fees, taxes, and hidden rules and regulations. The nuts and bolts? We’ve got you covered.

Congratulations on beginning your new life!!

Now, let’s kick some ass and have some fun!!

Lisa Schenk, Ph.D.

Co-founder

At 22, Lisa had an epiphany that set the path for her career: Work Should Not Suck! Over our adult lifetime, we spend 35% of our waking hours at work—what if that time was spent in a way that fulfilled us creatively and intellectually, created virtuous cycles, and enhanced our own and others experience of joy? Thirty years later, Lisa is still following that dream. She has help thousands of leaders go from performing to thriving.

Along that path, Lisa earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the Annenberg School of Communication at USC, taught at the USC Marshall School of Business, worked at McKinsey & Company, and led HR for a professional services firm in Los Angeles. As the President of Schenk Consulting Group, Lisa and her team have served clients across industries including: MGM, NCB Universal, United Airlines, Princess Cruises, Van Cleef & Arpels, Amgen, Davita, City of Hope, and the USC Shoah Foundation.

Lisa serves on the Board of Directors of Conscious Capitalism Los Angeles and Astra Labs, a not-for-profit leveraging the power of technology to help those with the greatest need.
